Solar Inverters and Batteries Buying Guide for Nigeria
A dependable backup system starts with a realistic load audit. Inverter capacity, battery-bank voltage, usable storage and solar-panel input must work together rather than being selected as separate products.
Calculate the connected load
List every appliance that may run at the same time, its power rating and how long it must operate. Allow for starting loads from equipment such as pumps, refrigerators and air conditioners.
- Continuous wattage
- Starting or surge requirement
- Required backup time
- Future load growth
Match inverter and battery voltage
The inverter DC input must match the battery-bank arrangement. Battery capacity should be compared using the applicable voltage and usable energy, not the amp-hour number alone.
- 12V, 24V or 48V inverter input
- Tubular or lithium battery type
- Usable storage and discharge limits
- Compatible charger and protection
Size the solar array and installation
Panel quantity depends on the inverter or charge-controller limits, site conditions and daily energy target. Cable sizing, isolation, earthing and surge protection should be included in the design.
- Panel wattage and string limits
- Daily energy requirement
- Roof or ground-mount conditions
- DC and AC protection
COMMON QUESTIONS
Questions buyers ask
How do I know the inverter size I need?
Provide the appliances, their wattages, simultaneous use and required backup time. The inverter should be selected from that load information.
Are batteries included with an inverter?
Only the products stated in the listing are included. Batteries, panels, installation and delivery are separate unless confirmed otherwise.
Can Gioco Nigeria discuss a complete solar system?
Yes. Send the load list, property type, preferred backup time and installation location for a project discussion.
